John F. Kennedy
- A very important Figure in the walk towards civil rights. He was president during the Segregation time period. He was a big factor in deciding whether or not segregation would come to an end or not.
Martin Luther King Jr.
- A civil rights leader that made a major impact on America with his speeches and rallies. One example of a speech he gave is the I Have a Dream speech. One of the famous rallies that he did was the March On Washington.
Rosa Parks
- She was arrested on December 1st, 1955 for refusing to stand up on the orders of the bus driver, after the white seats had been occupied in the front. She did not realize how much of a change she would cause. She started the Montgomery Bus Boycott.
Malcom X
- Malcom X was a man who did not want equality but wanted segregation with a benefit for black people. He went against the idea of equality.
